The band A Great Big Pile of Leaves announced their forthcoming album today and put out a new song titled “Pet Mouse” featuring Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack. The new album will be titled You’re Always on my Mind and will be out July 2nd on Topshelf Records. Check out the artwork for the album and their new song below!
This year’s This is Hardcore Festival has an amazingly incredible lineup. The full list of bands was announced today, and it includes Kid Dynamite, Modern Life is War, Ceremony, H20, and Boysetsfire to name a few. The festival takes place August 8-11 at the Electric Factory in Philidelphia, PA. The full lineup can be found below!

Super groups are a tricky thing; The Damned Things were brilliant and raw, Boxcar Racer was a childhood favorite that shined a light on what was to come for Blink 182, United Nations was chaotic and pissed people off. On the other hand, you have super groups where the members want to break the mold and create something new. For NK, consisting of Ryan Hunter (Envy on the Coast), Michael Sardis (The Rivalry), and Billy Rymer (Dillinger Escape Plan), their debut album Nothing to Be Gained Here was, unfortunately, just that. I gained nothing after listening to it. I was bored and constantly checked my iTunes to see how many songs were left.

On May 20, 2003, exactly ten years ago, Silverstein’s debut album When Broken is Easily Fixed was born…. Now, to be honest, because I was only ten when this album was released, it was not the first Silverstein album I fell in love with. However, it is the first album that made me truly appreciate bands that could successfully blend the sounds of hardcore screaming with beautiful, clean vocals. This album helped Victory Records become what it is today, and more importantly, helped me and many other “hopeless teens” deal with all of their angst.
Are you looking for some crazy, adventurous music? Look no further! YAKk has been a band for two years, and have finally released their debut EP, Bos Grunniens, on bandcamp. This seven track EP contains super experimental tunes that will NOT disappoint.
